One of the most popular topics in any MMO is what your character looks like. Today, I'll explain everything there is to know about cosmetics in Dauntless and how to be a true fashion slayer.
How to Build a Good Cosmetics "Closet"
Collect as many cosmetics, also known as transmogs, as possible. You can get transmogs from Hunt Passes, Twitch Prime Loot, Level 25 in Escalations, or from previous Hunt Passes using the Vault. Transmog stones are hard to come by but are usually included in small numbers each premium level of the Hunt Pass. Sometimes you can get transmogs from in-game events like "Ramsgiving".
Collect as many colors as possible. You can collect colors by fighting heroic level behemoths or in the platinum shop. I'd recommend waiting to buy any colors until they go on sale because they tend to be a little pricey. New players have a Recruit's pack of colors they can claim from the shop for free.
Mix and match weapons and armor to build unique outfits. If you're going to be posting your loadout in the Discord or on Twitter, I recommend not pairing together all the pieces from a single Hunt Pass because anyone who completed that Hunt Pass can do the same thing. Try to pix and match a few different Hunt Passes or use a basic armor transmog with unexpected colors.
Have as many loadout slots as possible. The number of loadouts you have is the number of outfits you have ready to go. At the minimum, I'd recommend having 4 so you can have one for every escalation in the game right now. Having 6 is more convenient because you can have one loadout for every element, excluding neutral.
How to Make the Most of a Hunt Pass
Most players won't complete every Hunt Pass. It's important to log in regularly or check the Dauntless website to check the newest Hunt Pass to determine if you want to grind high levels or not. If you hate the cosmetics for the Hunt Pass then don't buy it unless you make it to a high enough level to make back your platinum and get the other useful rewards like Vault coins.
How to Get Dauntless Twitch Prime Loot
Dauntless Twitch Prime loot is a bit tricky to get. By going to the Twitch Prime loot page during a Dauntless drop, you will receive a code that has to be entered on the Dauntless website. A complete guide to this process can be found here. Twitch Prime loot used to be updated every two to three months but has started to slow down a bit.
