The Halloween Event is here for its 4th tour since 2017. Now whenever you embark on a hunt, not including escalations, you may find scarecrow versions of Shrowd known as “Shrowd Effigies”. Upon breaking these effigies you either get a reward (treat) or be faced with a Shrowd clone (trick).

In the Dauntless shop you will be able to find Halloween themed items from years past like the From Below arrival emote, Harvester’s Head helm skin, and my particular favorite; The Xylobones emote. These are only available by spending platinum.

New Person in Ramsgate

Limited time cosmetics can be purchased from a new vendor, Honest Ozz, with the event currency known as “Harvest Coins”. Harvest Coins are completely free and come from breaking the Shrowd effigies mentioned above. Honest Ozz's shop includes a new consumable item type known as “Curiosities”, which are basically consumable emotes. Keep in mind that these Curiosities do not expire when the event ends, so you can hold on to them, but you won't be able to purchase any more. The shop also includes costume face mask transmogs based on the Shrowd, Shrike, and Riftstalker. There is also a banner plant, flares, and emotes available from past Dark Harvest events.

Limited Time Event Hunts: Unseen Summons

From October 29th to November 3rd, a special event hunt is available at two difficulties. The description states that the Unseen have unleashed a Shrowd and are using 8 mysterious umbral braziers to empower it. The more braziers are lit, the harder it will be to defeat, but it will also provide more rewards if defeated. However, if all 8 braziers are lit the Shrowd will overwhelm your party.

Secrets

Ramsgate has had some aesthetic changes including the addition of Halloween decorations. However, hidden amongst them are a series of clues and cryptic symbols that players must decipher to determine the location of hidden portals. These secret portals provide your whole party with a 10% damage increase for the remainder of the hunt. In order to find these portals, you will need to search Ramsgate for Ciphers. These Ciphers will be written in the Unseen Language. One such message can be found on a pumpkin underneath the airship pier. You can look up the Unseen Alphabet and translate each cipher letter by letter. It will get easier as you go along. Once you finish with the translations, you will be left with a riddle. These riddles will give details about where to find the secret portals. If you don't want to go through all the trouble, you can try to find them by chance.
